WHAT IS A LASH LIFT AND IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

Performed only by a Certified Tech. A lash lift is not a perm. It uses a much more gentle formulation that does not have ammonia or formaldehyde. This relatively low-maintenance process lifts the lash from the base and curls lashes to give you fuller, longer-looking natural lashes. Once the lashes are lifted, they will stay curled for up to 6-8weeks before you need a lift booster.

While extensions and falsies are always an option, they also require lot more maintenance. Lash lifts are super easy to take care of. Lash extensions need to be filled every two to three weeks and you are limited in skincare, cleansers, and makeup products to avoid shedding. Also, you need to avoid saunas, swimming, hot tubs, and even steamy showers. With lash lifts you don’t need to worry about making it last.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A LASH LIFT?

You will have a short consultation with your tech to go over any possible allergies and any questions you may have. You can expect to lie down on a bed and have your eye closed for the duration of your appointment. It’s not painful and you will probably fall asleep. Take a cat nap, we will wake you when you are done!

STEPS:

1. Silicone pads are placed on the (closed) eyelids. Your lashes are then shaped to the pads and glued down with an adhesive to set the lashes.

2. Once the tech ensures every lash is positioned correctly, the first solution is applied. This first solution is used to break down the protein in the lashes. The lashes are molded onto the shield, so it breaks down the lash to take shape.

3. A fixing solution is applied which begins the process of restoring the lashes and conditioning them.

4. The tint is applied and the silicone pads are removed. Expect the whole procedure to take about 60 minutes.

HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN A LASH LIFT?

The first 48 hours after a lash lift are the most crucial to maintaining those gorgeous results, and it’s required that you avoid water (and mascara), heavy exercising (or anything that would make you sweat a lot), or showering—at least in any way that will expose your lashes to the water.

After 48 hours, brush the lashes out every morning and evening before applying a lash serum. The results typically last 6-8 weeks, depending on how quickly your eyelashes grow. If you do decide to get lash extensions, do not get extensions until 8 weeks after your lash lift or else your lashes will be too curly for proper extension placement.

You can use mascara on your lashes but never waterproof formulas. Waterproof mascara dehydrates the lashes in order to stay on, which causes breakage to the lash. Keep your lashes hydrated by applying coconut oil at night.
